South End Style

Just finished up a shirt design for Sojourner, a complete tough guy hardcore shirt for total non-tough guy kind of guys. It should be pretty funny seeing people wear this around since it looks like some kind of hells angels ass kicker design.

new band artwork

Artwork for Brian and Jay's band Sojourner, and the final front and back covers for Adrian and Sam's band Danny The Champion Of The World. The Sojourner thing is going to be a sticker that I'm sure will be all over Tacoma soon, and the Danny artwork is getting turned into 5 by 5 inch stamps for the semi-DIY album art.

Sketches

These were preliminary sketches that I whipped for a painting I did for school. Ended up painting the guy playing guitar. Once I get a camera to use I will upload the finished painting.

whipped up a little cover for my band's three song demo/EP thing. A couple modifications were made by RJ our bass player.

Just finished this design for my friends' band A Quiet Uprising. The skull is Vlad the Impaler. I'm trying to push for a more free flowing natural design in my band artwork, but I kind of pigeonholed myself on this one because I initially went for a symmetrical design. I still think it told out pretty cool:

Now to work on Colonies art and a bitchin' flyer for the viaduct.

Season of Nightmares back patch

Started it and finished it all today. Its a little heavy on the right side, might need to add a poker chip or something to balance it out.

Kirschner Family Christmas Presents

I was commissioned to do these drawings for my friend Nick Kirschner. Each one is a family member of his. I started out by doing them with ink and brush on some illustration board. I wasn't sure how it was going to work, but it turned out pretty nice to work with. Then I scanned them all and colored them in photoshop. I ended up doing the Mr. Clean one entirely digital, and I'm actually quite happy with how the line work turned out, because it matched my brushwork pretty well, it just doesn't have quite the hand done look the other ones do.

I heard that his family loved them, which is what I really wanted to get out of the project, although getting paid was pretty darn nice too.

new year, new blog

I decided that for the new year I am going to be making a blog that is exclusively for artwork. Should have some stuff up very soon.
